Hey guys I am looking for the differences between the Case IH 8530 and 8545 inline balers and the years they were produced. What is their relative size (i.e. high capacity). Is there a thrower of that era you can use other than the 8511 thrower. What are the corresponding Hesston numbers. Thanks in advance. Jared

I had a 8530 for 12 years and then traded it in on a Hesston 4590, which is the next higer capacity model. At the time the 8530 was the middle of three models Hesston made for Case-IH. The 8530 and the next higher model both had 6 foot wide pick-ups and a 90 stroke per minute plunger, but the 8530 has 2 less plunger roller bearings and only 3 tine bars on the pick-up as oppossed to 4 that is on the highest capacity model. The smallest model I think has the 5 foot wide pick-up and is a 70 stroke/minute plunger. The extra plunger bearings and extra tine bar increase capacity greatly on the 4590. All models can be fitted with a belt thrower. The larger models also fit 6 twine balls, the 8530 has a 4 twine ball capacity twine box and 15 inch tires while the 4590 has 16 tires.

Jared, The 8545 and 8530 Case IH balers were made by Hesston and the corresponding numbers are 4590 and 4570. The 8545 and 4590 are 100 stroke per minute balers and the 8530 and 4570 are 60 strokes per minute. I have owned a Case 8545 for about 8 years and love it. Dependable and very consistent bales. Would recomend it and I would buy another if need be. 7812
