I have searched high and low and cant seem to find much of any information on Laser Leveling Equipment on the internet. I have found plenty of sources of people wanting to do it for you but nothing about the cost of the equipment if I wanted to buy it myself, which brands are the better ones (which brands are even available?) and any other useful information I would like to know where to find it.

Thanks,

Joe

PS. I have people interested in me doing some work for them but I have no idea what the equipment costs and if it can be retrofitted to my existing Land Leveler.

when i decided to build a new building i wanted a laser level had use one some years earler. so i was at lowes they had a dewalt rotating laser with reciver that you mount on a stick pole the rotating laseer is power by 18 volt battery. it is rated up to 900 feet. it works great. cost around 400.00 i already had a transit so didn't need try pod or rod. the reciver could be mounted on a pice equipment. might be a little hard to see it also only has about a 3 inch laser reciver. but it could be used that way.

Larry NE IL said: (quoted from post at 23:39:30 02/05/08) That stuff is expensive! If you are a decent operator you can get a level and mount a mast with a reciever on a pole. You have to keep the machine cutting level yourself though. An outfit like that will run around $3K new. To have a system intigrated with your machine hydrolics will set you back at least twice that.

Larry,

Do you have an example (parts list) of the items required to make such a set up?

Joe

Thanks but I have tried using every combination of search words in google and come up with nothing worth reading. If you guys can give me actual websites I would appreciate it. The heavy equipment website seems to deal more with dozers and big heavy graders. I am looking for more stuff like the pull type 8ft box scrapers.

Thanks,

Joe

To be clear, I am talking about the type of equipment that you mount to your tractors drag scraper that automatically adjusts the box scaper with the hydraulics to laser level the property for flood irrigation purposes.

Thanks,

Joe
