Hey, Does anyone know about oliver plows that have hydrualic reset? it's a 4 or 5 bottom semi-mount, points are worn not to bad, colers are ok. Are they good or bad?? cost $200.00

Dad said never ever buy a plow with that hyd junk on it, they leak & cause problems, don't work.

Dad was kinda conservative, but I never bought any, and really haven't seen many - they had their couple years of sales, and disappeared again. Wonder if dad had this one right - an idea that worked in the lab, but not so good out in the field?

I agree- Oliver has always had a good rep on plows....had two of them myself, a four and a five bottom, and Dad had the same opinion 5 decades ago- Oliver had the best plow. I ran a 6-18 IH 720 along with the Oliver (White 5-18) (White 4-18) for years, and I could always tell the difference in the furrows.

Not too many rocks here so we never sold one. You charge the accumulator with your tractors hydraulic system. If you have a lot of rocks they are the answer.
