Anyone have an idea of what one of the old pull-type graders would be worth ? I'm thinking of something small enough to be used on a long driveway or for levelling a couple of acres - the kind the operator stands on and adjusts While someone he really trusts drives the tractor or crawler. Also any particular brands that would be most interesting. Thanks, RonMC

My father has one of these old graders just like you describe. When I was a kid, I was the one to have to pull him around on it. It's old and rusty now, but still works great. Now I get to ride on back. I don't know about the manufacturer, the only thing that I am sure of is the plate on the back that says U.S.Army. I was at an auction not long ago and saw a similar grader go for about $1800.

Anywhere from $150 up. Have seen brands from the old time grader companies like Galion, Russell, and Adams. One of the best I have used was from an outfit called Stockland. Two wheel grader on truck tire rubber with adjusting wheels for the mouldboard but it was also fitted with lugs to attach hydraulic cylinders. If you had enough remotes you could do it all from the tractor seat. Tom

The county used to hire a guy to grade gravel roads up home in the early '50's with a rig like that. It was pulled with either an H or M Farmall. All the blade controls were hydraulic and controlled from the tractor seat. Think it might have been a Galion.
