Just bought some 3 point implements.

One is a bog disc, 20"disc6 ft wide, one row of discs, adjustable angle.

What is the basic diffference between the bog disc and disc with 2 rows.

Is the use the same?

Thanks, Buff

I used a 3-bottom plow for years until I was plowing an old field where I had bushhoged off some small brush. The coulters wouldn't cut it enough so I was dragging a big mat of sod. I bought a bog harrow and never used the plow again, mostly because the disk would ride over rocks that the plow would catch on and lift out enough so they had to be dug out.

around n al we call them bush and bog disk. made for working in new ground with small brush. not a finishing disk. use care if your cutting in new ground with it. first don't go to fast until you learn where all the stumps are. if you don't and you hit one and bounce up off the seat and come back down and sit down on a bee, it will sting you. once you go over the brush one way, do not turn and go into the tops of the brush. go at them from the side. going at the brush straight on will find them coming up on the tractor with you and pushing you off the tractor. lucky i was on an old h farmall and went off one side of the seat, walked arond the draw bar and got back on the other side. been there, done that.

don't run the plow in the same track twice it will only make a ditch. with it being 3 pt hitch you should be able to adjust it to where it cuts fairly level all the way across by adjusting the length of the third arm. you may need front end weights to make your tractor nose stay down.
