I am planning on sowing Timothy in the near future with one of these drills that has the grass box. Would anyone have the setting for a bout 10lbs/acre? Thanks for any replies.

we have a fb at 8-inch spacing, the manual says for 10 lbs to acre the setting should be on number 5, there is no #5 so the setting will be between 4 and 6.ours always seeds a little heavy, so we set to the next lower number. good luck

Thanks for your reply..after thinking about it I made a guestimate and went out and tried a measured field. I was in the ball park so I am pretty happy with the results. This old drill is a little sloppy so any setting is still just a guess.

I've got a manual for an FBB drill at home. I recall you mentioning being south of Louisville. I'm in Mt Washington. Email is open. Contact me if you haven't got your info and I'll look in the FBB manual when I'm at home.
