I have a 1968 Ford Diesel 4000. It does not have a self priming fuel pump(injector). I do not know how to bleed the air from the pump to prime it. I need to get the air out of the pump and the injectors. If you can help me please reply to this message or e-mail me. If you leave a phone number I will call you. Any help that you can give will be very appreciated. Thank-you.!

What is you drilled a 9/16 inch or about that size hole in the tankn lid, then installed a valve stem from a car. Put the lid back on, use duct tape or something like that to hold some slight pressure and then just add some air pressure, the fuel should move up to the pump. We used this method to start large trucks when fuel was run out. Give it a try.

Kevin, You'll probably hear that it's good to have a manual to read but any way what you need to do is #1 make sure that fuel drains on the filter bases have been opened to allow some fuel out then close them.
#2 loosen the lines to each injector slightly just enough to allow some fuel out.
#3 spin starter and watch for fuel to come out of each injector line then tighten the lines. this shouldn't be too rough on the starter. that's how I've done a 4400 Ford we had. hope this helps. Tom in n.e.Georgia

My 7700 always seems to prime itself when I change filters, so can't really help you, but it's simple enough & you'll get some help here. :)
