I have located 2 used 5' finish mowers, a King Kutter and a Caroni. The KK is a couple years newer but they are both in equally good condition.Prices are the same. The Caroni seems to be better quality construction, but having owned a Fiat when I was young, I am rightly supicious of Italian engineering. Any input would be appreciated. Hurry - the grass is getting high!

MY BEST ADVISE IS NOT TO BUY EITHER. BUY A BRAND THAT YOU CAN GET PARTS FOR. LOOK AT BUSH HOG. EXCELLENT PRODUCT AND GREAT SERVICE. WHAT YOU SAVE NOW WILL COST MORE LATER.

How long have you been working for Bush Hog?

The KK mower is still sold. Some parts I can buy directly from my local Fleet Farm. Other parts I can order for delivery.

Don't know about the Caroni -- I've heard of it though and I bet parts are available.

I have a 7 1/2' Caroni and have had problems with the front spindles for the front wheels bending due to setting the mower deck as high as it will go. To change the two drive belts you have to remove 17 bolts and loosen 2 bolts. I cut about 15 acres and it does do a good job.

The coroni will do a better job and pull easer.I have used both and I would buy the coroni.
It will do a better job than Woods or Bush Hog.
