I'm about to finally make a decision on a bush hog. I've already made a few posts on this board and appreciate the help so far. Many of you recommended I get a Bush Hog or John Deere brand, but I just plain can't spend that much money, so I've decided to go with a cheaper brand and take my chances. I won't be putting that many hours on it anyway. I've eliminated Howse as an option because I've heard too many people call them junk. I looked at a King Kutter for $500 at Quality Farm & Fleet and a Wallace for $540 at Tractor Supply Co. Which do you all think is the better buy? Thanks.

I personally like the King Kutter for the "I" beam sides. Mine has taken some heavy hits from rocks and such in heavy mowing where they were hidden and just bent the I-beam slightly. I think any other type of sides the rocks would have gone right on thru. I would also look into getting the chain guard for the front. I will stop anything from being thrown fwd. I made one for mine. Good luck
