For safety's sake please Kevin, don't bushhog with the mower 2' off the ground. A friend here was going to save a few minits like that several years ago and he still must be saving time. He's been buried 4 years from a part of a fence post slinging through his back and eventually killing him. I'm sure he did'nt think there was any danger or objects in his pasture either. He had his bushhog raised up to miss fire ant hills. They is'nt a tractor or bushhog either one that's made to safely operate like that. Keep that bushhog on the ground. You won't be able to steer the tractor if you hit a chug hole, and that bushhog becomes a missile launcher when it's off the ground. If the tractor is heavy enough to hold the front wheels down enough to steer right, the debris from under the deck will still come after you. That bushhog spins with enough force to pick up and sling a fence post, or tree limb, or rock, or piece of wire completely through a man, or steel building walls, car windshields and car doors. Another thing is that the mower won't be stable enough to stay up off your trees anyways. I put out seedlings from time to time myself. You'll be better off to just wait til winter when the grass dies down to see the trees. Kevin please remember that you can be safe and careful alots of times, but you only get killed once.
