Version 1.0 was based on a discarded engine shipping skid that the place I was then working for had thrown out. The neighbor and I built a couple uprights out of it. The rear end of the mower would rest on the end of the skid, the arms of the mower that bolted to tractor lift arms, rested on these uprights. Then we also built what looked like a bench, to support the sickle bar about a foot and half off the ground. This thing was some 7 feet long. One would back the mower over the skid, with the sickle bar chained vertical in the normal travel position. The mower would be lowered onto the skid. Then the sickle bar would be lowered onto the bench. In this manner it was then easy to unbolt the mower from the tractor, and when the tractor was driven away the mower would sit there. Hooking up was basically the reverse of what's described above. Version 2.0 was simpler and came about after 1.0 rotted away. A plank provided support for the rear of the mower to rest on. The bench stayed the same. Two supports, each about 1 1/2 feet high were placed under the lift arm deals to hold them up. The first time I ever put that 9W on the MH 50 it took me about two hours working alone. When we had the cradle figured out it was down to 5 or 10 minutes, with a lot less swearing.
