Hopefully someone out there can help me... I am looking for any information available on a recently purchased antique horse drawn potato digger. It came from an auction in Kent, Iowa and bares the name Hoover. Any information you may have on history or restoration would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Stacy

After a year and half I finally located and purchased an original operators and parts manual for my Hoover digger. Write me for any info.

Hoover was selling planters, diggers, sorters and other potatoe equipment in the 1880s. John Deere dealers sold this line for several years before they bought the company in 1926. If you can still read the name on yours it must be in nice shape. Try the swap meets for owners manuals. Good luck!

I don't know much about potato diggers, but I do know that Hoover became part of John Deere in the early 1920's.
