Interested in knowing a little history about my Fergusion plow. It is a 2 furrow plow with the Ferguson name plate on it. It says Fergusion Sherman, Dearborn Michigan, 10H. What does the 10H mean, a date when it would me made and maybe where and what is Fergusion "Sherman"

I am from Ontario, Canada and would a lot of these have come across the border?

Thanks for any information

Ferguson and the Sherman brothers broke up before the Ford Ferguson split. Also Ferguson was not ready with all the implements he was supposed to get ready when the 9N was ready. Ford engineers had to design and cast the frames for the plows and Ford continued doing so for some time under contract to Ferguson. That is why it has the oval and the data plate. The Sherman bros. also sold the 9N's and implements under the Ferguson-Sherman dealership name.

The Sherman Bros. marketed implements for the Ford-Ferguson and Harry Ferguson tractors. Naturally, they would carry both names for recognition purposes. Yours is likely a 2 bottom 10 inch cut. For the TO-20 Ferguson tractor.
They sold a 2 bottom 12 for the TO-30 machines.
I have a unique (I think?) 2 bottom 12 inch plow that has 'Ford' cast into the main beams with a oval shaped cast iron brace between the beams
carrying a 'Ferguson Sherman' I.D. plate. Looks to be old and built that way.

The "Ferguson-Sherman-Ford" plow probably is for a 9N or 2N. I have a 2-row cultivator that my grandfather bought new in 1940 for his '39 9N that says "Ferguson-Sherman" on the ID plate, and has another plate with "Ford" on it.
