I am looking at purchasing a Howse Rotary tiller. Can anyone give me some insight as to the quality of this make of tiller? How about problems etc.?

If you get a chance, take a look at the "KingKutter" brand @ Quality Farm & Country. 6' @ $1400. I think a lot of bang for the buck.

I have a Howse rotary cutter (when I first started knowing nothing...) very low end, cheap etc. My wallet still couldn't afford the "Bushhog" or the "John Deere" type, so I ended up buying a "KingKutter" brand. Excellent quality for the money, I believe a real sleeper of a company.

I won't down rate Howse, but I will say to remember they use Chinese supplied parts and steel, and that you get what you pay for.

I have some of their mowers with the Chinese gear boxes and they just won't stand up to heavy work. I would imagine the tiller boxes would'nt be any better.

1 more thing. If it lays down on you no matter if you only used it 30 minutes the warranty is'nt worth a flip. It's always operator abuse with them, it's never equipment failure the way they see it. Been there and done that.

You would be surprised at all the Chinese parts that are used in todays small farm equipment, its not just the folks at Howse. If you guys want Mercedes quality, get use to paying for it!
