Someone who has used GEHL haybines, please let me know what you think of them. I am looking at one which looks to be taken good care of for 1800.00. One of the hubs (sealed wheel bearings) appears to be busted. There is no way to grease the hub. Is this a common problem. How do they compare with the early new Holland haybines? Thanks

If you are talking about one of the early Gehls with 12" or so tires, they don't compare to NH at all. They weren't much when they were new, and parts availability is getting poor now. Buy a NH, at least a 479 or 472 for reasonable parts availability, or a 469 if it is in good shape. If it's a newer Gehl, model 2xxx, they are OK.
