I just purchased the AC 2 row planter from the photo ads on this site. Planning to pull behind the D10 for the U-PICK operation.

The current owner Sam is a great guy to deal with (VERY HONEST & OBLIGING). The planter has been converted to 3pth, & from what I know everything else is original. Sam is unable to identify year and model. Wondering if anyone here may have an idea?

Would like to identify so I can begin my search old planters, manuals. Source for manuals would be a plus. Thanks in advance for any information.

Now that I think about it I think it's called a "All-Crop" planter. I have a late 40s or early 50s Allis-Chalmers "snap-coupler" 2-row. I also converted it to 3 pt. I would say it's probaly made the same years as mine. Did you get any plates with the planter and how many sets? I have 12 sets that came with mine. Parts are a bit hard to find for these planters, new is out of the question and even used are hard to get, they are semi-rare here in Ohio. I bought a original operation, parts, repair manual for it this morning on ebay.com for $6.50 +$2.00 S&H. First guy bid $5.00 then I was going to go up to $20 but it worked out better than that. It's greasey and worn but all of the info. is there real good user comments report on the guy selling it too. He sent me a E-Mail thanking me and telling me where to send the check. The chances of finding this manual in any condition is slim. Happened to be just about 100 miles south of me. Just keep checking ebay for manuals and you might get lucky like I did. Good Luck.
