Check the archives on the Oliver/Cockshutt or this board, one or the other by typing "BlackHawk" in searchbox), I made a post wondering about the Blackhawk company a couple of months ago. A neighbor of mine bought a Blackhawk 2-row new in the 50s and he still has the manual. I will check with him. He said the planter was a piece of junk and that he never should have bought it. He traded for a 2-row AC which I bought from him a while back. I found a manual for this AC planter on ebay and bought it for $6.50 + $2.00 S&H. Dirty and worn but all still in one piece. I believe that they were made in Bellview,Ohio along with cornpickers. I also think that they were made for Cockshutt and Co-op tractors and painted red.
