I have a 9 foot disk. It is a pull behind and not a very heavy duty. Good for 3 to 5 acres of disking. It has 2 rows of disks. The front row seems to want to ride up in the center when I am cutting. I have put alot of weight on the center where it rides up but that did not solve my problem. It pulls fine when it is not angled. Any suggestions??

Your disk is known as a tandem. The front and rear sets of blades are usually called "gangs". Possibly your problem is related to hitch height. Try different hitch heights to see if that helps.

Are there any springs on the disk???

Ive got a 10 ft pull type disk, worn out but still works with lots of rocks on it.

I assume this is not a wheel disk, so there is no ridgid 'frame', but the gangs are just linked together & allowed to float?

How wore out are the disk blades? And the whole frame linkage? That can have a lot to do with it.

The disks are in good shape and everything seems to move quite well. You are correct about the frame, they are linked togher allowing it to float. It cuts good on the out side disks but leaves a trail of uncut earth where it rides up in the center.
