Rick: Let me know what your email address is, and what you want for the dryer or fan.

The bin has a complete perforated floor, can I get by with just a fan?

Mike. You are going to move bins? We just need to talk because I have also did that ,fact is I moved a 36ft diameter and a 24ft one last summer. I have a bin stirator and other parts also for sale. The stirator is coming out this summer. Are you wanting to do cement work to. I also have done that. Just contact me period and I can give you steps how to do it all.

I've had success with an aerator in western NY lowering moisture a couple of percentage points. I think the grain can't be too damp to start with and you can't have high humidity days while the fan is running.

Mike. I need to know what you are exactly trying to do with your bin. Are you wanting to dry grain or just aerate dry grain. The fans I have are actually two different brands and sizes. Do you have the fan transitions or do you need those to. Give me a call 319-257-6764 or email rickmax@Iowatelecom.net

This is like pulling teeth, one detail at a time!!! ;)

At least we know the bin has a perferated floor. :)

Now, what crop, what location, are you just airating the grain, or are you trying to dry it down, and if so how much????

Even Rick will need a lot more details to help you. And please be aware, what works in warm arid Nebraska does NOT work in damp cool Wisconsin!!! Two totally different climates, totally different systems needed! You need to fill us in before we can help you.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone by not providing enough detail.

Will be using the bin to store and dry corn after harvest, somewhere around 20% down to around 12%, thereafter, I would aerate as necessary to prevent mold, I live in southern PA. The entire floor is perforated and elevated above a cement slab.

Here in southern MN one would need a high-volume fan with burner, plus a stirator to keep grain in good condition & dry it down.

Another option here is to pick up a Tox-o-Wix type pto drier and use this to dry down the corn, then use a smaller fan on the bin to airate as needed. If you need extensive rewiring to operate the big fan, expensive stirator to buy/maintain, and have a relatively small amout of corn, this can be more cost effective. But, it uses higher heat, and more babysitting that the big bin burner.

Depends what works in your area, & what you have available at what prices. :)
