Just bought an old Dearborn cultivator at auction. It was mostly assembled, but partly loose parts, and I've never used anything like it before...manual would help lots, but any quick advice would be great for this weekend. I'm having trouble setting it up to cultivate between rows of small 'truck garden.' I can't seem to get the fenders or guards that are supposed to protect the rows to stay in place, so I'm guessing I either installed them wrong, or have them adjusted wrong...backwards/forwards, who knows?

thanks for your help!

So now you are going to send me on a hunting trip! I have the book here some place! got the cultivators- complete bought in '53. Are they set for your row spacing? If you are trying to use sway bars- don't. The fenders should be mounted next to the row and bolted to the front bar. They are designed to float over obstructions. I will go out tomorrow and check and refresh my memory and post again JIM
