I need to fabricate something to pick up sm. square bales out of the field two or three at a time. Would like to have it powered with the lift arms in the rear. Idea is to drive along side the pick up, and have some one pulling them off the forks. Any ideas?

I've never used one, but I remember a lightweight machine that would attach to the side of a flatbed hay wagon and would scoop up the square bales and run them up a short elevator to be picked off and stacked by a person on the wagon. Looked like it would be a neat idea in a large field, but my little soup bone shaped fields would be a headache to maneuver in.
