I brought home one set of my Grandmothers harrows yesterday and am wondering if anyone knows the maker.

The last time I remember these being used was Gram pulling them in the late 70's behind her Farmall H. The only thing frozen is one of the angle adjusters.
The discs are 19 inches and the set is appx 6 foot wide...

Thanks In Advance!

I believe they may be a Oliver disk. I have one that is very close to that. Has wood bearings. Go to the following site and click on antique farm equipment and see. Go to hancockfarm.eboard.com Wade

Last time I saw one of these there was a team of horses in front. I can not for the life of me remember who made these and it may have been Oliver, but it had a seat mounted between the adjustment handles so you could ride and add weight at the same time. The front wheels were needed for a team. Many of the horse drawn disks were just hooked to the tractor and the team replaces.

I wondered about the seat!

My sister has it mounted on her well curb next to the farm pump at my Grandmothers old place.
She found it in the brush behind the tool shed and I swore I remembered that sucker being mounted on the harrows in the early sixties.
I want the other set of harrows too. They are double ganged (for lack of a better term) and they are about 9 foot wide. I will need a bigger trailer for those though.

Thanks For The Info!
