I have a control valve off of a loader. Don't know what kind it is for sure, think its a gressen 3-spool. The third spool is not centering. Can some one give me some ideas as to why. Is there a spring inside there to center it, or is it suppose to use hyd. pressure to center.
thanks for any help you guys can give me.

I just fixed a Gresen and found that there is a spring that is attached by a bolt in the back of the valve. The bolt head in mine broke off. I removed the valve and was able to twist the remainder of the bolt out with a pair of vice grips. Try not to nick the surface of the valve and lube it well before putting it back in. Best of luck...

Either the spring is broken or whatever holds the spring in place has come loose or broken. Good luck.
