The nearest Hesston dealer is on the other side of the state from where I live and by the time a bearing has worn out, I find it and get it out there are no #'s left on it. All I have is an inner race and an outer race.

Knowing there is more to a bearing than this I cannot go to the local industrial supply store for a new bearing. Does anyone know where I could find a list of the bearing sizes with part numbers for this baler? Or a diagram showing the location of each bearing with part #'s.

Thanks for any help.

I live in a farm area, and have never failed to get a replacement bearing by just bringing in the inner & outer race - often in pieces from the torch cutting. The local NAPA/ General Trading/ auto stores are pretty good at this. It would be unusual if the bearing in question is anything but a sealed ball bearing type, and probably of a pretty standard size.

Don't remember ever going to a dealer for a bearing, and I've rebuilt most shafts on the 2 combines, swather, augers/elevators, planters, etc. over the years.

Ok, I failed once - no one could find a replacement bearing for an old grain auger I have, where there is no outer 'race', they just used the 2 flanges for the race. Seems that company only does OEM, and went out of business, no one eles makes those diameters...

I have a 5545 baler and get all my parts from my dealer. He has a real nice parts breakdown on the computer. I normally don't even take my old parts off until I have the new part in hand, just go to the dealer and describe the parts and point them out on his diagram and have always got the right part. He has printed me out a page or two when I needed it. You might try a phone call to your dealer and he could probably fax you a copy of whatever page you need if he knew you were going to buy the parts from him. Actually I have found the parts for this baler to be very inexpensive and readily available compared to other manufacturers. Johnny
