I am having trouble with a 425 International baler with a #10 bale kicker..... having trouble with shaft pulley from drive.....at rear....belt keeps flying off.....I welded a brace to long shaft...then after a bale or two it shredded the belt.....I found an old belt in twine compartment and tried it....It broke.(probably dry rotted)...anyway without the brace the belt would fly off..too much give....also the shaft has been broken off...but where the pulley set screws go is okay....friend said hay was too wet and heavy for kicker..... anyway I need help....theres not that much to the kicker.....but Its beyond me....any suggestions? Thanks.....

Make sure you have a heavy enough belt, IH dealer will sell you one for about $10. A light belt the right length won't last at all. And get it tight with the brace you have, really tight or it will slip and smoke. Make sure all four pulleys line up or the belt will burn rubbing on the sides of the pulleys.
