What was New Holland's first production model haybine's model number? My neighbor has a 460 (9') that he thinks it's pretty old. He said the serial # for the 460 starts at 7000 and his is #7044. Another clue to guessing it's old is that it says on the manual "mower-crusher" instead of conditioner. He just put $600 into repairs this year and hasn't even had 2 acres on it yet. Luckily New Holland still makes every part except the pitman arm. The bolt hole was worn out and a machine shop welded it up and drilled a new hole for him. He also repleced some other well-worn parts and belts while it was down.

I checked it out and the 460 is the oldest, being built from 64'-66'. My neighbors must be a early 64' model then since it was the 44th made. Thanks, GregR
