I recently bought a Ford 930 finish mower. The series 930 originally had only two deck wheels in the rear and a couple of skids mounted on the front of the deck. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience modifying this mower by adding two more wheels to the front of the deck so that you do not have to use the 3-point hitch to maintain cutting height or drag the mower using the skids? I have looked at front wheel kits by Woods and Bush Hog for their mowers and I think they might work but I would be interested in hearing about anyone elses experiences with this type of modification. Thanks.

I have a the same mower, you should have the chains that attach to the mower front, you can adjust the chains, you should have the two metal pieces that came with your mower that are attached with a pin just behind the seat...I have a manuel that came with my mower, if I can locate it I can send you a picture. You don't need anything else in the front except for the two chains that attach to the front of your mower. Do you have them? I need one tire that goes on my mower, Ford Dealer is wanting 60.00 for just one tire, if you know of anyone that has for sell lower than 60.00 I would appreciate it.

I just picked up on of these mowers and was wondering if they are capable of tall heavy grass and weeds. Do you know the intended use for this mower? Thanks, Tom
