Does anyone know of a book or web site that gives information on how to make simple farm implements like a 3 pt bucket or 3 pt lifting boom?

Haven't used any of their plans (I don't need no steenking instructions ":^) but have been on several boards where people have used them and seem generally pleased.

The hydraulic powerpacks they talk about work well for intermittent use (commonly used on snowplows) but wouldn't do well for continuous use. They are basically a 1 or 2 quart reservior on a pump driven by a starter motor.
