Bush hog SQ60 vs SQ600

A local farmer is selling a 3 year old 5 ft SQ60 for $850 with slip clutch and is suggesting it is a medium duty mower. The only info at BushHog's website is for a SQ600 light duty model. What are the differences between the SQ60 and the SQ600?

Does anyone know what HP a Ford Industrial 3400 puts out (or PTO HP) or where I could go to find out? The Ford manual doesn't indicate this info.

thanks

Just got an SQ60 with an 8N I got. Went to the local dealer and got a manual. On page 6 it states "The Squealer Cutters are light duty cutters designed for cutting grass and small brush."

I am clearing a pasture and it works fine for me eaven with an 8N.

I purchased an SQ60 this year for 230.00 at an auction. It has a shear pin. I found it worked very good and have been clearing pasture / brush up to 2" diameter without much effort. I run it with a 36 HP tractor at 1800 rpm with no trouble.

I have a SQ600 which I think replaced the SW60. The SQ600 is definitely a light duty bush hog, not a medium duty. If I had to do it over again, I would pass on the SQ600 and probably get another brand all together. I have been very disappointed in this one. It vibrates like heck and I had to drill out the flange and put bigger shear bolts in it to use it (doesn't have a slip clutch). I put 11 bolts in it one day and broke half of them cutting johnson grass! The first one I got vibrated so bad you could hardly stay on the tractor. They brought me another one and it does better but still vibrates too much.

The SQ600 replaced the SQ60 this year. They are both good cutters when equipped with a slipclutch. Calling either a medium duty cutter is a bit of a stretch. I would call a Bush Hog 285 a medium duty cutter in 5' width.
