I have a six foot sickle bar mower that is driven by two v-belts. The only part numbers that I can find is N-101-81. It has a cable operated lift and its supposedly will cut horizonally or vertically. Needs new bar to make it work. Do you know where I can find one and how much? Any help on year, make, or any information would be greatly appreciated.

Is it a 3 point or mounted mower. What is the number on the guards? this not a true test but if nobody has ever changed them, you can tell who made it from the guard number. As for model you would have to give more information.

Thanks for responding Norm....
It is a mounted mower numbers on guards are N12 in one corner and A74 in opposite corner. The cutting bar is missing. Are all the cutting bars the same? Also, the PTO pulley is splined for a 1 1/8" shaft, my 8N is a 1 3/8". Any idea how to get the parts to make it work? Thanks for your help.

Unfortunatley, that guard was used on several mowers. Case, Ferguson, Detroit, Allis Chalmers. Does it bolt onto the rear drawbar or does it go under the belly, I am still betting it is some form of Ferguson. You can buy adapters to convert your shaft to its size. You can sometimes use several different knives in some machines the most important thing to watch for is the size of the ball that the pitman straps go over.
