Got my "new" MF 135 tractor home today. As you may expect, very, very excited. I had previously purchased on of those "bargain" implements. This was a lifting boom. Figured I couldn't go wrong for $50.00. Seemed heavy duty enough. Thought I would hook it up to the MF 135 tonight and be ready for some serious stuff tomorrow. Well guess what, the piece of the bargain basement special lifting boom that attaches to the top mount of the tractor(where one would usually connect a top link) was to wide for the tractor mount!! I was not happy. So I go out and measure my tractor. The width is 1 3/4 ". So is the standard Cat 1 width for the top mount (or whatever the correct term is) 1 3/4"?

Figure I'll get the lifting broom "adjusted" by the local farm implement fabricator.

Thanks,

Ted (semi-happy with new tractor)

Bush Hog drive shaft got slightly bent during loading (Does the fun ever stop?) Someone raised the 3 pt and drove the mower deck into the drive shaft. Can this be fixed??

The driveshaft can be replaced. Fixing implies 'unbending' and you just never will get it right, and this is something you want to slide real smooth so it doesn't bind.

The 3-point thing is unfortunatly pretty common, there a 4 catagories of hitches, and 2 of them have 2 widths. So, there is a lot of room for variation & cross-matching the 'standards'.
