I am considering buy one of those quick hitch frames to go on my 3 point hitch. I change implements oftem and use sway bars on most things. It is quite a bit of screwing around so I though if I fasten the sway bars to the quick hitch frame they could stay right in place. Have any of you guys tried these things?? How well do they work. I have a Ford 4000SU and use primarily cat 1 implements. Thanks for any help, Bill

First thing you need to do is to measure all your implements to make sure they will work on a quick hitch, seems alot of the older small implements won't. It's very frustrating having to take the quick hitch off to use something. We have a quick hitch on our loader tractor and it's great but most of our implements fit it or I have modified them to fit. Also watch your head when hooking or disconecting pto shalfs, if not you'll quickly learn to.

You also need to be careful when using pto equipment. One neighbor turned too sharp with his baler behind and the hitch not high enough and bent the pto shaft all up. Our grain vac has a hydraulic motor on it and our Case 1070 will slowly lower the 3-pt down if we run the vac for a long time, so if the quick hitch is on it will eventuallyhit the pto shaft (learned that the hard way). But all said and done I wouldn't give it up. Take the time to modify our implements to take it and you will be VERY VERY happy for years to come.
