I have a 306 pull type bushhog. After using it a day the nut works loose that holds the stump jumper to the main shaft. I have tightened it a couple of times but gets loose again after using it. The last time I had to heat the nut to turn it. Any ideas on how to keep it tight?

Get some "RED" Locktite. Take the nut off, clean it and the threads on the stud, up and get everything so the nut will spin on freely. Give the threads a dose of the Locktite and tighten the nut. This should keep it from comming loose. If and when you need to remove the nut you will probably have to heat it to get the Locktite to release. It is pretty good stuff but be prepared to have a little bit of a time getting it to release the next time you want to remove the nut. Good luck
