Someone just gave me an IHC Trailer Plow. Part of the serial number tag is missing. I am also missing the part of the hitch that connects to the tractor. 1.DOES ANYBODY KNOW WERE I CAN GET THIS PART ? 2. WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE ?(Pictures)

The serial number has the following numbers on it

2395322 2756658 2979138
2551451 2830516 2981344

I am also assuming that this plow was produced in 1959, because it says that was when it was patented on the tag. 3. WHAT DO THE NUMBERS LISTED ABOVE MEAN ?

On the back of the plow blades are decals that say HEAVY DUTY SUPER CHIEF X SERIES. 4. IS THIS PLOW A LITTLE GENUIS 8 ?

If anyone can answer these questions please reply. Thank You

Sounds like you have either a No. 60 or a No.70, since you've got Super Chief X bottoms. I have a 1962 IH catalog with these plows listed, but there isn't a good picture of the front of the plows. Try a CaseIH dealer and look up the parts lists. You may still be able to get the part you need from them. Super Chief X wear parts (shares, shins, landsides, moldboards) are available aftermarket from a variety of farm stores and catalogs.

Tim thank you for the information. This will give me an avenue to start from. I have one more question that you might be able to answer for me. I am going to sandblast and paint this plow, and I am interested in knowing if there are anying other decals or stickers on the side of the plow with the international name etc, on one of the side bars. If you have this information in your book please let me know. Thank you Garrick Elston
