We have three old (near 1925) corn binders. the one that is in the best condidion with the bundle carrier and none rotted wood has a broken knotter. We are having a heck of a time getting a pin out that holds it in. We were able to use a punch and a hammer to get the replacement one out of the other binder BUT this pin will not move. We have tried soaking it with WD40 and penatrating oil. Hitting the darn thing as hard as possible with out feeling like I am going to break the whole thing off. ANY HELP OR IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT. Can something like this be drilled out? will that possible make the new pin harder to put in and hold? What do to? we have corn standing that we need to get out.

Thanks

Try heat. Drilling will only enlarge, get off center so new pin will not hold
