I have a plow made by Independent Mfg. Co. out of Neodesha, KS. The point is worn out. It measures 19 inches from the wornout point to the back of the share. Is the a 20 inch plow and does anyone know where I can buy a new point? I don't want to break the bolts off until I get a new point.TIA Deane

A plow is measured by the width of cut a bottom takes in the soil. On multiple bottom plows this can be determined by measuring the distance (center to center) between the plow beams. Beams are the main structural arms that hold the bottoms. The length of the share isn't necessarily relevant to the size of plow, as different makes of plows of the same size used different size shares. You'll need to get the share off and take it to the farm store to match up a new one. There shouldn't be any problem replacing the plow bolts with new ones if you have to put the old one back on. The store should carry a variety of them also. Hope this helps!
