We've decided to quit making hay so I have a Ferguson 3 pt hayrake that I'm going to sell. Does anyone have any idea what it's worth. It's in working condition. I used it this year for all 3 cuttings. It is pto drive and works very well. Thank you for any help or advice.

Ferguson made, to my knowledge, two 3 pt rakes, the DEO 20 and the DEO 25. According to the books, the 20 is a 7' rake, the 25 is 8' but otherwise they're identical (I've got one of each, and they're really about 18" difference between them).

Anyway, around here (Western-central MD), depending on time of year, the 25 goes for around $450, the 20 for about $350.

What a cowincedence, for real I just bought 1 at a sale today it is in good shape just needs a new belt I gave $500 for it, thought it was a little high but all the other (newer) rakes sell for 700 or more. I personaly only think they should be 300-400 but what do I know.

not to be nosey but why have u decided to quit making hay? A rake like that should be worth about $400 maybe less, i seen one at an auction during the spring but it was a real piece of junk it didnt bring more than $100. but if yours in a good to excellent condition you should get $400 for without a problem.

The Ferguson 3pt. rake was an excellent rake. We bought one new and regrettably traded it 10yrs. later for a 256 New Holland. The only reason it was traded was that the Ferguson teeth broke rather easily and were getting very difficult to find. Those were the days before rubber mount teeth. Rake in good condition would be well worth $4-500.
