The Hoover Potato Digger was made in Avery, Ohio, near Milan. You can find general informationon the company at>Link
My>Link father worked there in 1924 as a 14-year-old, operating a punch press without the present-day safety guards.

Hoover was purchased by John Deere. Do you know the model number? I have info on the early Deere-Hoover models.

Lakeside acquired a hoover potato digger in pretty bad shape. Issac Hoover's son, Arthur L., was the general manager at Lakeside when a new 3000 seat auditorium was built (1929). He and father Issac had a major hand in financing the construction. The Auditorium was renamed Hoover Auditorium after A'L.'s death in 1947. We would like to restore and display the potato digger in front of the auditorium, but cannot not find out what color it was (pre Derre) I found a picture that shows it to be yellowish brown, but don't know if it is accurate. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! Bill B.

I don't have any written evidence, have heard that Hoover eventually was bought out by John Deere.
