Let me guess, the top of the gear box popped off at or with the top of the pedestal. This seems to be the most common failure of an otherwise well built cutter. I have one we bought new around 1967, it served well for 30 years and now sits on the backside of the place because I don't have the heart to send it to the scrap yard. I just need the castings for mine, the gears and bearings are in good shape. What parts do you need.

I'm trying to find out if I have a Ford rotary cutter or a Ford bushhog. It is a model 90I and has a serial number 57620. Any ideas?
