That's all I know about it so far. I'm assuming it's a 3-pt. I want to bring it home on a snowmobile trailer (capacity about 1400 pounds) and need to figure out if 2 or 3 guys could lift it or if I'll need a winch of some sort. Any info or advice appreciated!! THANKS

For get the golf trailer!!! Go get a tandem axle
utility trailer, surely a neighbor or relitive has
one you can beg, borrow, or steal for one day to go and get that plow. See if the owner of the plow can arange a Loader or Gin-pole truck to load
it. One could park the plow under a tree, use a block & tackle to lift, back the trailer under,
load, boom it down. And your ready to go home.
Please don't use that light duty trailer! You are just asking for trouble.
Good luck !!!

I stopped at my Ford / NH dealer yesteday for parts and he had a 4 bottom 3pt JD plow on his lot. He put it on his scale and it was between 2200 and 2300 pounds. Maybe had a couple hundred pounds of dirt on it but more than your trailer would handle or more than you would lift.
Be careful.

Some people on her sure aren't farmers. You can tell by the questions they ask. Can 3 guys pick up a 4btm there is no way 2-3 guys can even pick up a 2btm 14inch. I think you guys are asking for some serious pain trying to lift a 4btm. If you guys want to do it the easy way try a winch. A winch sure would save alot of pain. And i think you will need something bigger than a snowmobile trailer you guys would be driving with some flat tires on the way back. Good luck amatuer farmer.

Not to burst your bubble, but a couple years ago, I picked up a Dearborn 2 bottom and a plumber helped me load in the back of my truck... I can hold my own, but this guy was built like an ox, so maybe he was the "other 3 guys in one"...

I can see all kinds of problems and danger maybe. If you are going to transport the plow further than practical to use a tractor, U_HAUL or someone is not that far away. Trailers too small for the job have hurt a lot of people.

I have a JD 4 bottom trailer plow and there is no
way 3 or 4 guys would be able to pick it up and
move it let alone put it on a trailer. I don't
know the actual weight so I can't help you about
the capacity of the trailer but when I got it I was
amazed how heavy it was. You'll need a loader
where you get it and at your place to unload it.

I've got a JD 2-bottom and 3 guys couldn't lift it. You might even be pushing the weight limit on that trailer. Like Dan said, a loader would your best bet. Be sure and air the tires up before trying it. Good Luck, Festus

if it is a 3 pt hitch plow, I highly doubt that four men could lift it. I have a JD 3 bottom 3 pt plow, and there is no chance that any four guys could lift it. Probably the easiest way to load it on would be with a tractor and loader. What brand of plow is it?? that will help someone who knows to try and estimate the weight...
good luck..
