I have a 1952 8-N with a factory transmission. I want to run a snow blower off the pto and would like to know if there is any way to do this. Is there an adaptor or any manufacturer that has come up with a solution to this problem?

The Sherman is of no help as it is in front of the orginal tranny. It WILL slow you down in reverse( if an under Sherman)but will also slow down your PTO speed. The old catch 22. The 8n also has a single stage clutch. When the clutch is depressed the PTO stops also.Bummer!! You can't clear the blower,I know I've tried this.As for the adapter, one is available to go from 1 1/8" 8n output to the newer 1 3/8" blower shaft. A HUPP tranny which is behind the tractor tranny will slow you down in reverse, but not slow the PTO speed.BUT there is still the single stage clutch!!! DaBrow
