I have a Hesston 1091 haybine that I have used a little bit but now needs a new knife head and some other minor work. The rolls are perfect. Always before it has made unbearable noise, mostly from the knife head. My question is is it going to be worth fixing and will it be quiet enough to run without earplugs? How do these machines compare to others (New Holland) I have seen some Hesston 1091's on the internet for over $4000 but paid $200 for this one and have seen others for less than $500. Did I get a good deal or are the ones on the internet overpriced? Thanks a lot.

Never been around one, so not much help.

Another option is to buy another cheap one like it, maybe dirt cheap with bad rollers, and make a good one out of the pair, have a few spare parts left over. Or part yours out for the rolls, you should get your money out of it for what they bring new!
