Does any one know what the heaviest built chipper brand is (Valby, Vermeer, Befco, etc.) which is available in the Northwest? How much wear and tear does one place on the tractor? And what is a general price for a new unit? Thank You, Kenneth

I own a Valby CH 150. Very well built, hydraulic
feed is easier on the tractor as the feed rate can
be adjusted to material being chipped. This model
new is about 4900 and add 2000 for hydraulic feed.
I have seen the Vermeer and Patu units, Vermeer is
nice and well built but very costly. Mine was a
manual feed and I just converted to hydraulics.
If you are chipping just tree branches then you
can get away with a manual feed and you'll have to
do a little more trimming to make it easier to
run thur thr chipper. If your chipping vines and
prickers then you need the auto-feed. If you keep
it sharp and properly adjusted the manual feed
pulls in very well without have to touch it.

Hello,
I have a Bandit Super250 PTO on a U1500 Agrar. It has over sized fee rollers, a line winch, and Auto-Feed Plus. I am selling the chipper this fall/winter. It has less than 300 hours on it - asking 20,000.
