I have a buddy in Montana that is a little shy about these forums, but he has a question. He is interested in buying a culti-packer, but is not sure what size etc. He has a John Deere Model 5400 4WD. What size/width would you guys recommend. I live in Virginia and the ones I've seen are about 10 ft wide and have a single row of wheels. We would appreciate any comments and help you can give us. Thanks Mark R.

Around here, we usually tow the cultipacker behind a disk or a field cultivator, so we match up the size of the packer 1' wider to the tool it will follow. Our 45 HP MF65 gas used to pull an 8' 3-pt disk and a 9' packer.
