Deere Manseur planter question

I bought a 2 row planter that looks to be fairly complete this weekend. I am interested in finding some literature on this so I can make sure I fix it right. There were only one set of plates with it, though. I need to make a new wood beam for the marker and some other details. I have no idea if this used that wire or how the wire part worked. Would anyone have a picture or operator instructions that would help me? I appreciate your help.

I answered a question simular to yours back on the 11th of this month on this board. Here is what I posted for that one:

I've scanned some information from a book I have called "Encyclopeda of American Farm Implements and Antiques" by C. H. Wendel and have posted the pictures and information at the link below. Who knows, one of the 3 planters pictured may match up to the one you folks have.

I have also found a color picture of a painted Deere planter on my hard drive and have also added it to the below link.
