Gehl 1070 haybine

i am looking at a Gehl 1070 haybine and was wondering some opinions on this machine. i have heard the small wheels were a pain and that it was hard to see the cutter bar from the tractor. aldo anybody know where to get a manual, i tried emailing a few Gehl dealerships and nobody will answer me. and info would help, thanks alot

Had a 1070 once was a fare piece of equipment once I learned how to get it to float on the ground right.has to be set right,need the manual to do it or someone to show you how to set it.Only trouble I had was with the pitman arms,Have a new holland now ,like it a whole lot better.Hope this helps. David

thanks David. i have another question, any idea why the pitman arm breaks, the one i am looking at has a broken pitman arm, any idea why this happens?thankd alot

Sorry took me so long to answer,dont really know the answer about the pittman arm only thing I can think it may be is because there is a lot of weight there being thrown back and forth with so much force or it could get out of balance some how. David
