I am thinking about buying a plow that has slots in the moldboards, I've never used one like this are they any count?

Thanks Robert

These moldboards are designed to scour easier in heavy clay conditions, where a full moldboard can be a pain in the rear. I've never used one, but my uncle who farms that type of ground gets by with wire brushing the moldboards on his regular bottoms before the season to shine them up.

I farm on very light sandy soil, and I think that the slotted bottoms would leave you with a poor looking plowing job, although probably functional.

Bottom line is that this is a piece of special purpose machinery and if it doesn't fit your needs exactly, you'll probably be a lot happier with a standard set of bottoms.

Just my thoughts,

They are very good and will scour in sticky soils, but be sure you can find replacement shares for it
