I'm going to look at a 276 baler, looks clean in picture. What are good points/bad points, what should I check, whats a price range. Thanks

276 is probably my favorite model. it has high capacity for a smaller baler, won't take up room in the shed. only drawback is the narrower pick-up head and the puck-up head is flush with the bale case which makes it harder to see from the tractor seat. it has a simple but good feeder mechanism so it makes pretty square bales.

We just got a 269 this fall, which is actually nearly the same as 276. We really like it. I don't know if the one you are looking at has a thrower on it or not, if equiped with the thrower the price goes up. I would crank the baler over by hand, through one cycle to see if anything hits, rubs or is broken. Paid $650 for ours, I think you would be really happy with it, I don't know where your from but that price seems in the ballpark.
