Don, This plow is of the #4 series, if it has a crank for leveling and one lever for depth it is a #4 or #4A, If there are 2 levers then it would be a #4B (or possibly a 4C or 4D depending on the rear wheel and some attachments.) If the lift clutch is of the open type with the dogs exposed it is earlier than 1940, after '40 the clutch was encloser in a large cast housing. Looking back at your message I see that you said two adjusting arms, so I guess it is the #4B. Hope this gets you interested in finding out all about plows. Bob

Bob Collins;
Bob your detailed knowledge of JD plows to various questions posted (mine included)simply amazes me!!! Has your work experiences provided you with this extensive information or do you have a personal library to find this info???
Any information on parts availability would be much appreciated, I am in need of coulter and hitch parts for a #55 and molboards/points for a #57. I have parts catologs for both.Thanks.....Bill.
