Hello,
I purchased an old farm and I have found an old one bottom plow. It hooks to the drawbar and the frame has a tire and wheel with drum brake on one side and a steel wheel on the other side.

Where might I look to find more info??

The "drum brake" is most likely a mechanical lift mechanism.

Look for part numbers cast or stamped into parts of the plow. That'll tell you a lot. Part numbers starting with PO (Parlin and Orendorf) would indicate either P&O or IH. You may also see JD or IHC corporate symbols cast into things like hubs. Not sure of the particulars of other plow makers, but again, if you post some numbers, someone here will likely know who made the plow.

Also, look in protected places (under coulter clamps, for instance) for traces of the original paint. That can help identify the maker.

Finally, if you can get a picture and post it, some may be able to tell at a glance what you have.
